BRIDES . 4th of July feature

Today’s feature is BRIDES Magazine!  One of the editors recently got in touch and mentioned that she was looking for holiday inspired images for wedding days.  I was so excited that they chose two of my images for their post.  You can see it here!

I was intending to go “home” to visit family this weekend for a 4th of July party. My siblings are there as well as some of my extended family and my sister’s brand new puppy (I wanna squeeze him!) but I felt under the weather at the last minute. What can I say – my immune system has impeccable timing. Sigh. I didn’t realize how much I wanted to see all of them until I couldn’t.  Family and friends really are the most important thing in this short life.

One more separate but important thought.  As you all enjoy your time grilling out and watching fireworks today, be reminded of why you are able to do that. People fight on our behalf every day for this casual, even luxurious way of life and that should not be taken for granted. Let’s raise a glass to the military for giving a huge portion of their lives!
