Rachel and Aaron’s love story is one that I will never forget.  It’s a testament to God’s timing and providence.  I hope you have the opportunity to meet this gorgeous and sweet couple one day so you can get the whole scoop!  They are getting married in a few short months in Raleigh, North Carolina, and I could not be more excited to photograph their big day.

Rachel is a photographer and model (and drop dead gorgeous) so the bar was set pretty high for their engagement session.  We started our day on the grounds of an abandoned mental hospital.  After the preliminary jokes about the creepy side of the place, we focused on the beauty of the overgrown trees and soft, southern light.

After only a short time, Aaron had the unfortunate luck of getting stung by a bee!  Ouch.  His poor ear was beat red.  We both felt so bad for him!!  He was such a trooper to stick it out, not complain, and concentrate on doing an amazing job for the camera and for his beautiful fiancé, Rachel.

Rachel and Aaron are getting married at a park with the coolest carousel in the center of it.  Seeing it during their engagement session made me so excited for how this artsy couple is going to incorporate these fun elements into their wedding day.

Our final stop of the evening is sentimental to the couple.  They had their first date here at a local restaurant with the cityscape in the background.  So romantic and sweet!
