I recently took a trip home to North Carolina.  I did a little shopping, took some photos, met up with my bestie, had a mini family reunion and visited my church – all in 4 days.  It was an amazing trip and I feel so refreshed and inspired again!  It’s pretty cool how little things like a hug around the neck can give a person that much of a boost.  Thank you to every single person who greeted me this past weekend.  You have no idea how much you mean to me.  It’s the little things.  Sometimes they’re not so little.

While visiting the best church on the planet, I happened to see a former client and her husband.  She came up to me after service and handed me this box of amazingness that she made and a card to go along with it.  Can you say yummy?!  Tears welled up as I read what this sweet woman had to say.  Not about my photography this time.  It was about me.  What she said was private to her life, so I don’t think I’ll share her story on my blog but I am overwhelmed and humbled by her and her husband’s gesture.  It’s the little things.
